Juanita Fadul

Senior Designer, KPK Lighting Design

“One of the first times I really noticed how lighting can change a space was when I visited a modern art gallery. The way the lighting made certain pieces pop while leaving others in shadow totally shifted the vibe of the room. It made me realize just how much lighting can set the mood and feel of a space. That moment sparked my interest in how the right lighting can affect both how a space works and how it makes you feel.”

Ignited by this spark, Juanita Fadul began a career in architectural lighting design, where she now blends technical expertise with a keen artistic eye. With a Bachelor of Industrial Design from Pontifical Xavierian University in Bogotá, Colombia, Juanita has spent years perfecting the craft of lighting, working in hospitality, corporate, commercial, and high-end residential projects. As Senior Lighting Designer at KPK Lighting Design, she leads projects from conceptual design through construction administration, ensuring that lighting defines a space beautifully.

Her portfolio includes projects such as KKR Corporate Headquarters in NYC, Atlantis Casino Resort in the Bahamas, and high-end senior living spaces like MorningStar The Canyons in Las Vegas. But she has a particular passion for restaurant and hospitality design. Schematic design and concept development is where Juanita lights up. Taking a vision and shaping it into a tangible, dynamic lighting plan fuels her creativity. She draws inspiration from the intersection of nature and technology, fascinated by how sunlight filters through trees or the sky shifts colors at dusk and how those organic moments can be translated into architectural lighting.

Outside of work, Juanita is an avid cyclist, both on the road and indoors. She also enjoys spending time with her family, her dog, and diving into arts and crafts as a creative outlet.
